Passion for dogs... except for potentially dangerous dogs (PPP). So many years of experience and they still don't know it's just a label, because they can be classified as PPP and still be well-trained and socialized. So if you have a PPP, don't even bother with this dog boarding facility that makes exceptions.

I'm giving 1 star only because I can't give less! Let me explain my experience. For months, my puppy has been attending their monthly daycare service. As the months went by, the pick-up and drop-off service became abysmal. We went from having the dog picked up between 8:30-9:00 AM to… whenever they feel like it… 10:00… 10:30… We understand traffic can cause issues, but delays of an hour and a half? Every single day? Plus, my dog is located only 1.7 km from the daycare with no traffic… When you ask for explanations, they answer in an arrogant and threatening tone (the usual attitude from the owner whenever he doesn't like something), telling you that he has a problem with a vehicle and that you can either take it or leave it, that he has plenty of dogs and couldn't care less if you leave. Not only that, but they have an obsessive interest in neutering your dog; since he was 9 months old, they've been insisting on neutering him because they say he has too much energy. Puppies have energy, folks, and they go there, among other things, to run around and burn it off. He insists that the dog must be neutered because, having so much energy, he bothers other dogs who end up baring their teeth at him, and according to this man, my dog reacts. A dog that has NEVER bared his teeth or barked at home or around other dogs. A dog that gets nipped at by neighborhood Chihuahuas and doesn't even try to retaliate, even though at 12 months he weighs 30 kg. In short, these people just want dogs that act like house plants—lying down and quiet—or else they want them neutered, period. But rude, barking, and aggressive dogs are totally welcome as long as they mind their own business. Great philosophy. Let someone else put up with you.

They deserve it for staying with the dogs during the fire and not abandoning them, even though a helicopter came to rescue them. They kept them safe while putting their own life at risk; that is true love for animals.

We left our dog at their facilities, and despite the terrible fire that claimed the life of a worker at the nearby equestrian center, the owner of "Peludos al Agua" did not abandon them. We have no words to describe this guardian angel who looked after 30 dogs, fighting the fire all night long even at the risk of his own life. Tears come to my eyes just thinking that he put the animals in his care before his own life. Calling him a hero falls short. I can only thank the owner every single day for what he just did. Anyone else would have left them to their fate. If you are looking for a place to care for your pets, I couldn't give a better description: animals are cared for as if they were their own children. Eternally grateful.

They are scammers. First of all, they don't have a pool; I don't know why it's still called 'peludos al agua' (furry friends to the water). I asked about the daycare and if I could stay there with my dog to see the facilities and check how she interacted with other dogs so I could have peace of mind. They replied with an audio message where the two coworkers were laughing and treating me like I was stupid for asking if I could stay with her for 20 minutes to see how she settled in. As if caring about your dog the first day you leave her in an unfamiliar place were something to laugh at and mock you for. You are extremely rude, and I hope you show more empathy to the rest of your clients. I am certainly not leaving her there because I don't trust people who treat you with such contempt and bad manners.

It took me 4 years to find a place where they took care of my Weimaraner just like we did at home. And finally, I found Luis and his team at Peludos al Agua. Whenever my dog goes there, she leaves happily, hops right into the van by herself, and gets into her spot without any problem. She has a wonderful time there, plays, enjoys herself, and when she comes back home, she is in perfect shape and calm. I have nothing but words of gratitude for all the help they have given me for nearly a year now that I've been leaving my dog Lima with them. They are undoubtedly the best!

I don't know what this company is like. But the person driving the company van on February 6th around 9:00 PM on the road from Colmenar to Soto is a complete reckless driver. They don't respect the safe following distance, tailgating the car in front to intimidate it, only to end up overtaking on a solid line. It is an extremely dangerous maneuver that put several drivers at risk.

I haven't been to the facilities myself. But as a daycare, they are without a doubt wonderful. In my case, my girl was boarding, and I honestly know she was very well taken care of and was very fond of the whole team. Unfortunately, we had to move, but if I return to Madrid, I would definitely rely on them again without hesitation. Thank you for taking care of my fur baby and loving her like your own.

It is a 100% recommendable place. Especially if you are looking for your dog to feel right at home when you go on vacation. Luis is lovely. Always available and eager to help. They don't just take care of them while you're away on vacation, but they also observe them and let you know if they notice any behavioral issues or anything else. You feel that your dog is very well taken care of. The best proof is that he goes there super happy, and when you pick him up, he is calm and you can tell he comes out exhausted. It's the equivalent of a summer camp for kids. They send you videos from time to time so you can see how he's doing, and what catches my attention the most is how calm all the dogs of different breeds and ages are together. Just this weekend they are taking care of our little furry one. Without a doubt, a great ally for looking after our little furry friends.

I have nothing but good words for Peludos al agua, especially for Luis and Raúl. They treat Zar like a king, and whenever they are needed, they are there. Zar leaves happy in the mornings and comes back full of energy. You can tell he is fond of them, and that only comes from treating him well. When he boarded there, he slept in the house with Luis and other dogs—no kennels at all. Just like at home. If they need any treatment, wound care, or special attention for any reason, they handle it, which gives great peace of mind. I broke my ankle on July 6th, and without a prior reservation or knowing them, they found a spot for him without hesitation. Price-wise, they are more than competitive. It works out cheaper for me with them, including home pick-up and drop-off transport, than with any dog walker in the area. Personally, I am very grateful for everything. Totally recommended.

I have several complaints: the access road is very unpleasant; some clients are not aware when their dogs relieve themselves and don't pick it up (in the time we were there we saw two), and the staff isn't keeping watch; and the fact that the private residence provides its own bathroom for clients. I think it looks a bit shabby. On the plus side, the dogs really enjoy the water, and the people who run it are very nice.

We will definitely repeat, highly recommended for anyone who wants to spend the day with their furry friend... and with the family 😅, it's a wonderful place and the staff is a 10/10. They have a parking area, and as soon as you enter you already have the sun lounger areas and a pool that doesn't even reach your knees, which is fantastic when the dogs run by and for us to get our legs wet or play with them. There are also 2 large pools with ramps so they can get in and out without any trouble. We loved that they lend life vests; it was perfect for ours since he doesn't have much experience with water. Then there is another more secluded pool, also with sun loungers and a picnic area where you can bring your own food; they have some snacks, ice creams, coffees... I think they could improve this last service, but either way we were well taken care of and very comfortable. And the cherry on top is that you can bathe your dog before leaving, with shampoo (we brought our own) and they had a blow dryer, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! And I'm sorry, I have to say it, regarding the condition of the pool water... Don't expect crystal clear water, tons of dogs are swimming in it, what the f*** do you expect? (I'm saying this because of some comments I saw) 🤷

We went this summer to spend the day at the pool with our dog; we had a wonderful time and so did our dog. There is plenty of space for them to play and run around, and there's also plenty of room for people. They have chairs under pergolas for each family, so you are always in the shade and very comfortable; plus, since it requires a reservation, there is no overcrowding and there is more than enough space. There are two pools in the lower section that are ideal for the dogs; the small one is a bit dirty with sand and such, but that's normal since they get dirty walking around the fields before jumping in. The medium-sized pool is great for getting in with them because it is shallow (waist-deep). In this one, they also have life jackets in various sizes to put on your dog. The owners of the place were very pleasant, both at the bar and when explaining how everything worked. They recommended wearing a T-shirt while swimming to avoid possible scratches, but we weren't prepared; next time we'll bring one, as we did end up with a few scratches. The dogs that were there were all very well-behaved and their owners were very friendly, and the place was super clean. We will definitely come back this summer and go more than just one day! Update from summer 2022: they have added another pool, which greatly increases the swimming area so the pups aren't crowded together. Very happy!!

Kimbo enjoyed it so much, adapted super quickly, and had fun just like a kid at summer camp. I would undoubtedly leave him with them again with my eyes closed. Luis is approachable, experienced, loving, and has a special magnetism with animals. I am super grateful because, for me, Kimbo is the most important thing and I couldn't have made a better choice. I don't have enough words to thank them. They have always been there for everything I've needed, and honestly, I wouldn't leave my fur baby in anyone else's hands as long as they are around. My fur baby always goes happily, loves them madly, and has an absolute blast; that says a lot about the people working at Peludos al Agua. They offer 3 services: Leisure with your pet: In the summer, you can enjoy an incredible day with your furry friend in the pools; you practically don't need to bring anything because they have it all. As a hotel: the most important thing is that they don't have cages! Tons of land and pools with large shaded areas. A maximum number of dogs per caretaker and, crucially, they introduce them gradually so they can integrate into the pack. They send you videos where you can see how much fun all the dogs are having, and they teach them exercises in the pools during the hot season. As a daycare: the same, huge grounds to run around and enjoy different areas. They have their packs and both big and small dogs play like puppies. They also offer a shuttle/transport service. With my eyes closed and without a shadow of a doubt... I recommend it to you!

The place is passable, the idea is good, but the execution falls short. There are a lot of thorns/burrs; since the ground is dirt, they should rake and clean it more often. The small pool was full of dirt. In the big pool, the stairs are loose, the water is freezing, the chairs are too low, and the little tables are ridiculous. It's clear to me that I will NOT be returning. On top of that, they allow pregnant females in. They ask you for a ton of paperwork for nothing in the end.

The open field has a lot of thorns for the dogs, and the lower pools are poorly maintained (green, the ladder for humans is loose, etc.). The upper pool is great, super well set up, and the barbecues and picnic area for eating are a very good idea.

Today I went to Peludos al agua. The pools are passable (not very clean), but all the ground surrounding them (except for the deepest one) is untended field full of burrs/thorns (little spiky balls). It would also be nice to have a small shower so humans could cool off (at least wet our heads a bit, since in the sun it's unbearable). As for them having a shower so you can take your dog home clean... on a terrace they have put half (yes, half, because the plastic is cut and the bars are exposed) of a portable pool and a hose coming out of a hole in the tarp. Nothing like the pictures. Since you're already there you stay, but it's not a place to return to. The owner replies to me that a very high percentage is happy. That they improve every year. Please, read also the reviews where people don't say you are wonderful. Regarding the burrs, a year ago they were already replying to another person who complained that they were solving it. Some of us read further back than just the latest review.

My puppy had a great time. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Everyone there loves furry friends, and you can really feel the high level of tolerance in the atmosphere. I'm taking off one star because I think the ground could be improved. It's very hard to walk because you get pricked, and more than one dog was limping from stepping on thorns... Aside from that, highly recommended...

We had a great day with my furry friend, with various pools that were quite clean, and I was struck by how clean the restrooms were as well. The staff was quite friendly, the picnic and barbecue area seemed pretty good to me, and although the bar has few options, it's pretty decent. I also liked the little tables and chairs in the shade. To mention a downside, they should start thinking about maintenance for a few little things. Otherwise great, we will definitely be back next year, we had a blast! 🐶🐾🐾

We had a wonderful day enjoying the 3 pools. The upper pool area and the picnic area are well-equipped, but not the lower part, which is full of thorns/burrs, so the dogs end up limping by the end of the day, and so do the owners. If it weren't for that, it would be a 10/10 place!!

If your dog likes water, it is the perfect place to spend the day as a family, bringing your own food to enjoy the day there. The pools are very nice, but our little dog wasn't too fond of getting into the water... So we didn't stay long 😅😅 On the downside, the ground unfortunately has prickly things... 😥 And unfortunately, even though the people running the place do a great job with a lot of love and a good atmosphere, there's not much that can be done about it, and only for that reason do I take off one star. We recommend the place for all dogs who like water; they will have a blast. 😁🤩😁

Our first impression of the place almost made us turn right back around. Once inside, it's true that the staff is friendly and the areas set up with chairs and a small table to stay in the shade of small canopies weren't bad at all. As for the pools, there are three: the small splash pool, which they fill with a hose without a filtration system, is a sea of dirt that just gets worse as the day goes on. The medium one, about a meter deep, is good for them to learn how to swim, but the water... the water is anything but clean. I can understand having leaves, sticks, and various natural debris, but having water that cloudy... it's a bit gross, considering it's the main attraction. By the way, the filtration system wasn't turned on all day in that pool... so it's essentially a stagnant pond. When we arrived, the large pool was filtering, but it was still quite murky too. This one is for more experienced dogs and, honestly, they have a blast! Bottom line regarding the water: it really needs many more hours of filtration instead of leaving the pumps off all day. In that sense, it was quite unpleasant. Even though I understand it's for dogs, having the water look like that when the pool has just opened leaves a lot to be desired. The grounds are entirely dirt and sand, typical countryside terrain with burs and stickers, not pleasant at all for flip-flops or for long-haired dogs. Behind a house, where the restrooms are located (quite clean), there is a shaded dining area; however, keeping in mind we are in the middle of the COVID pandemic, more than half the tables are superfluous, and table disinfection was nonexistent. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, although some people don't understand that if you have an UNBALANCED dog, it's better not to go, as you ruin the day for the rest of the visitors. We would return, but they need to improve the water care and the area near the pools by adding artificial turf or any surface to prevent stepping directly on the dirt. Edit after owner's response: I hope you have improved on everything mentioned above because none of it is a lie. You can see it in the photos! Filtering the water every now and then would vastly improve your service.

It's fine, but most dogs are afraid to enter pools that don't have a beach-style entrance. A great place to go with your dogs and unwind a bit; they have space to run around with other dogs and 3 pools to cool off if they are hot. Two of the pools are deep enough for them to swim but also shallow enough for them to touch the bottom. You can get in with your dog either to cool off or to help them get used to the water and teach them. There are tables and chairs in the shade all over the property so you can have a drink while the dogs play. Highly recommended. The only downside is the access road, which is dirt, full of potholes, stones, and quite uneven.

A fantastic place for the furry ones to have an amazing time. Not so much for adults to be honest; there's little shade, and they have those low beach chairs that are hard to get in and out of. They have lots of square meters for the dogs to run around, but that also means that those of us owners who want to keep an eye on ours end up walking many kilometers over sand and rocks (in my case, my pup is very clingy/overfriendly, greets everyone and follows everyone around, so I have to keep a very close watch). On the other hand, 2 of the 3 pools are raised 'toy' style, with access ramps that the dogs aren't entirely convinced by. But above all, my dog—which is what matters—had a blast; he ran, went swimming, played with other dogs, and got a few battle scars, but that's normal. Another negative point is the parking: it fits around 15 vehicles and they cram in 25, so every now and then they have to call you to move your car if someone wants to leave, playing Tetris (quite a buzzkill when you're in the water with your wet dog). The owners are lovely and very attentive.

A good place to spend the day with your furry friend. There are 3 pools and a large property where they can enjoy themselves with other dogs. There is an area to have a barbecue and eat. Good value for money, although the place could be improved with more shaded areas and ground-level pools for dogs that don't usually swim and are scared. It is also true that there is a trainer who helps you get your dog into the water and succeeds.

I haven't been there; I'm just browsing the websites of various dog pools in Madrid, and honestly, it strikes me as odd that if you are supposed to be canine professionals, you continue to use the terms dominant/submissive, good/bad. This certainly puts me off... I have a reactive dog, HE IS NOT BAD NOR IS HE DOMINANT, he is reactive and what he has is a low tolerance for stress. I've had such a hard time! After a year and a half of work, I've managed to help him become a dog with much more self-confidence and, therefore, less fearful and reactive. Frankly, I am very hesitant to go to a place for dogs whose managers still classify them as good and bad.

For food, you can bring your own and even have a barbecue, or order a burger or kebab there. They are open from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM during the hot season, and the rest of the year you can board your dog there. Everyone is very kind and affectionate with the dogs. My doggy Trasto loves it.

It is an option for our furry friends to cool off in the summer, but in my opinion the place should be better maintained. In the end, it's just a plot of land with neglected ground (there are dried foxtails that can get stuck in their paw pads) and the pools are above-ground/prefabricated with a ramp for them to get in; therefore, they can't touch the bottom, and the pools are too dirty and poorly kept. The road to get there is full of potholes and very poorly signposted, so if you go without GPS you wouldn't know how to get there. The only thing I would highlight is the staff, who were very, very friendly, and the "rest" area with shade and chairs.

The service was very good, but the facilities leave a lot to be desired. There were two portable pools of at most 5 meters, in which it was difficult for more than a couple of dogs to be in simultaneously; not just because of the space, but so as not to hinder the learning and/or harmony of the dogs swimming at that moment. That's taking into account that one of them was used at times for the instructor to enter with the more fearful dogs to introduce them. There was a third pool, and the rest was an open, fairly neglected piece of land. We were lucky to go on a weekday when there wasn't a big crowd, so we could make better use of the pool. As for the instructors, their service was very good and professional.

A place to enjoy watching your dog have fun. It is quite secluded and there is a long stretch of unpaved road, but that itself keeps it from being too crowded. It's not a fancy place, nor does it pretend to be. It is solely focused on dogs enjoying the water in the pool. For people, it has the basics: umbrellas, canopies, chairs, tables, and loungers. You can eat there—mostly pizzas or burgers—but most people usually bring their own food, and there are even barbecues for grilling enthusiasts. Despite how basic the place is, I give it four stars for the cleanliness, organization, and the wonderful service provided to both clients and pets. Without a doubt, we will return.

We had a great day there with our dogs. They always make sure the dogs have clean water. There's a very nice atmosphere. It's a joy to see how much our furry friends enjoy themselves. As my only suggestion, I would recommend extending the fence around the upper pool; my dog was running around and in all the excitement fell down twice, and it's not a short drop... thank goodness dogs are made of rubber and nothing happened to him.

We went with our furry friend and spent a very peaceful day. It was Friday and not very crowded. The access road to the place is a dirt track that, despite some potholes, isn't totally bad. Once there, there is outdoor parking that is fenced in for our safety and that of the dogs. Inside, there is plenty of shade and spots to be comfortable. As for the pools, there are two shallow ones for the dogs with ramp access and a deeper one, also with a ramp. They are not very big, but they are sufficient. The water doesn't look very clean, but it is minimally treated for the dogs' sake—remember that they are the priority here. The facilities are very basic but pleasant. The service from Luís and another staff member was very good; they even help you inside the pool with your dog. You can tell he is great with dogs, and it is much appreciated.

It's good for introducing your dog to swimming, and the people are very friendly. In the field where the dogs are, there are dry foxtails, with all the risks that entails; there is no green area. They close the umbrellas around 1:00 PM and don't let you use them because it's windy. I think the water gets too cloudy in the afternoon; they should run the filtration system, at least during lunchtime.

It is BY FAR the BEST place to go with your pet and spend the day cooling off in pools properly adapted for pets, unlike the dirty puddles offered elsewhere. The staff is great and you can have a barbecue or paella like we did😎😀😀😀😀😀 A thousand times RECOMMENDED.

Very nice place, with fields and games to run around. Our dogs enjoyed it immensely. The owner of the place is very kind, and if you ask politely, he helps your pet with their first contact with water. Highly recommended.

Great, good service, they make sure neither the dogs nor their companions lack anything. Three pools to enjoy with your buddy.

We had a great time, and so did the dogs. The staff was very friendly; they teach you how to introduce them to swimming so they learn without stress.

Finally a relaxing place to go with our pet! The place is super pleasant, with hammocks in the shade, umbrellas, and from the moment you walk in, Luis makes you feel like you're in a vacation home. The entire upper part of the house is for common use, with tables under a grapevine. There are 3 BBQs that Luis gets going right away, and you can leave your belongings at whichever table you choose without any issues. If you need drinks, you can buy them there. I like that admission has limited capacity, which is why you have to call to make a reservation. The only drawback is that there's only one pool... super clean!!
