My little dog died under their care. Trufa was a perfectly healthy Yorkshire terrier, barely 4 years old. The death of a pet under the responsibility of a boarding service should NOT simply be considered an accident. Especially when it is a business, the supervision and handling of the animals must be thorough. Only they know what really happened, as there is no evidence of any kind. The pain they have caused us is immeasurable. They took away the chance to share many more years of life with my dog.

They are certainly wonderful and take great care of pets. You only have to see how happy my dog Drako was there and how much he loved his caretakers, which is a sign that they treat him wonderfully. The peace of mind this place gives me is priceless, which is why I wouldn't take Drako anywhere else for cleanliness, care, professionalism, and affection. Believe me, I've been to other places where Drako was neither happy nor came out the same way at the end of his stay, so thank you a thousand times for being there!!!!

I have sent my dog here many times before, but recently I had the opportunity to personally visit the "holiday home" of my dog-son and it didn't disappoint. Conveniently located just 5 minutes from the highway exit, about an hour from Madrid, this property is nonetheless in a countryside setting. Each kennel has an inside and outside area, the environment looked tidy and clean, and each pet has his own storage area for food, toys, etc. Most encouragingly, my son had no hesitation entering and freely exploring the area, showing that he clearly enjoyed being there! Having visited Mascotel, I am happy to continue sending my son here for boarding when I need to.

I would like to leave a 5-star review to highlight the incredible work of the team. They took care of our super shy dog, Sushi, with so much love and professionalism. Everything was perfect: from home pick-up to bringing her back. Additionally, communication was always very clear and informative. We received constant updates on how Sushi was doing, which kept us very relaxed and confident the entire time. Sushi also got grooming services, and we loved the result. She looked gorgeous! The experience was so good that we have already booked again for next week, and in May, during our vacation, we will definitely leave Sushi with Mascohotel again. Thank you so much for the excellent service! 🐶⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been a client of this hotel for 2 years. The first year the experience was very positive; they provided daily updates on the cats' condition and even sent videos, which is why I chose this hotel for another year. Last year I boarded my cats here for 10 days, but the quality of care compared to the previous year drastically deteriorated: they no longer gave daily updates, and when they did reply, it was very brief with a simple "they are fine." Apparently, they had implemented an additional fee for photos and videos, which I was not informed about prior to or during their stay, even though they had ways to contact me. Upon picking up the cats, both had lost weight, and one of my cats had yellowing of the skin and mucous membranes. He had to be admitted urgently in critical condition with a diagnosis of hepatic lipidosis due to lack of food intake and had to be slowly renourished through a feeding tube. It was a slow, very difficult, and very costly process that lasted months and could have been fatal. The Mascohotel staff insisted they hadn't noticed anything, despite the entire team of veterinary experts agreeing that this does not happen overnight; it is a progressive process in which the cat, due to the stress of the environment change, stops eating, mobilizes all body fats to survive, and those fats infiltrate the liver, leading to liver failure. Apparently no one had noticed a thing and they categorically denied it; no vet saw my cat during the stay, nor was I informed of this situation. I hope my review helps guide potential clients in their decision-making and encourages the hotel to improve their care, which was clearly lacking.

From the very first phone call I had with M. Ángeles, she helped me every step of the way and was very understanding of my situation. I only have good words for the professionals who work there. Thank you so much to all the staff because they made him feel right at home. I hadn't been able to travel for a long time because I never had anywhere to leave him, and when I finally decided to give it a try and leave him at a hotel, I found Mascohotel. I cannot give a recommendation because I haven't used it. I went to visit it to see it and understand how it operates. The place is very well organized, and the dogs have their own individual enclosed, heated space with a terrace to go outdoors for a good part of the day, as well as a feeding, care, and social walking protocol with other pets. So far so good. However, in my case, with small pets that are very attached to the family environment and the peace of home, I wouldn't be sure if the isolation in a windowless room and the constant noise from the other pets would cause anxiety. It is not a viable option for me.

I brought my cat; it was a positive experience, with room for improvement. I'd like to highlight the exceptional friendliness of the young man who showed me the facilities before dropping off my cat. The room where the cats stay was well-prepared and seemed comfortable, with toys and water fountains in the common area for their entertainment. Additionally, the price is quite reasonable. However, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of windows in a cat room. They love looking out the window, and having them in a room with only artificial light was an unpleasant surprise. The pick-up experience was a bit confusing. The girl who assisted me closed the door behind her and told me to wait outside, which I assumed was for safety reasons or because there might be another cat loose. However, it turned out she was just bringing my cat out in her carrier along with her belongings. This lack of communication left me a bit disoriented. Furthermore, after a week without seeing my pet, I was hoping to hug her in a cozier setting. Although the girl allowed me to do so in the shop area, it wasn't the warm reunion I had imagined. In summary, the hotel has good intentions, friendly staff, and affordable prices. However, I believe that improving the natural lighting for the cats and the way they handle pick-ups (speaking from my experience with my cat) could make a big difference in the overall experience for both pets and their owners.

Updating my review: My little dog passed away and they came to say goodbye to him... They are the best, but also, I now take my cats there and they come back even more affectionate. I wouldn't trust anyone else! I can go on trips knowing they are in the best hands. They are truly excellent; I've been taking my dog there for 8 years and he always comes back happy, to the point that if he runs into them on the street, he wants to jump into the van to go with them again. Let me tell you about my first time there: I was very nervous when I dropped him off, and I called every single day, and they patiently answered every single call. When I picked him up, he greeted me, but then went right back to the girl who was caring for him! And when I put him in the car, the girl came running over and I thought I had forgotten something, but no, it was to give the dog a hug and ask me to take good care of him. That's when I knew it was the right place, because they treated him as if he were their own. Time has proven me right and I only trust them to board my dog. Now that he is older, has many skin allergies, and needs medication, I leave him with the peace of mind that they care for him not only with love but with professionalism, and he even comes back with his skin in better condition. I recommend them 100%!

On the way back, we picked her up in Buitrago de Lozoya without any issues. Juanita only took a few days to get used to being back home after her long stay. In fact, ever since she went to Mascohotel, she lets us rub her belly without attacking us, after 15 years :) It might be a good idea to send free photos every week to pet owners, especially if they are going to spend many weeks at the hotel. 2 photos and 1 video cost 10 euros.

To begin with, I was not able to see the facilities, so I could not verify what my dog's stay was like. There was no good communication from the hotel with us; we were only given feedback once in 15 days, and that was because we insisted. When we picked up Paris, she was dirty and disoriented. This place is great to leave your little ones, a perfect spot in the mountains so they don't suffer from horrible heat in the summer! And in winter, with heated rooms so they are as cozy as at home. Great service; for someone like me who has a terrible time being separated from them, they gave me total peace of mind! Plus the advantage of having a webcam to check on them at any time. They get their three walks, and since their rooms have a garden, when it's sunny they can go out to the yard and they love it. My two poms were super happy there, I recommend it 200%.

Terrible service! They don't give you any information about your pet. I left my dog for 25 days, the worst days of my life. From the very first day when I saw that they didn't want to give me updates about my dog, I wanted to take him out of there, but unfortunately all my trusted people were away. On the day I picked up my dog, they told me that he seemed to still be hungry, saying that they only give the food amount specified by the owners. THEY WERE UNABLE TO CALL ME TO ASK IF THEY COULD GIVE HIM MORE FOOD. My dog came back one kilo lighter, you can see his ribs. I find it hard to believe that people leave their pets there and don't check in on them. I have boarded my dog at another hotel and they send you videos and updates every day. WHAT A NIGHTMARE OF A PLACE, don't let them fool you with videos of happy dogs.

Right from the start, they made booking very easy; they are very attentive and affectionate with all the animals, and they also keep you very well informed about how they are doing. They are top-notch caregivers, hats off to them. It's the first time I've taken them there—I've never left them with anyone before—and my three pets, Harpo, Hermes, and Lucas, were as happy as can be. When I went to pick them up, even after seeing me, they stayed right by the caregiver's side. The bath they gave them was phenomenal; they look so handsome. I undoubtedly recommend this place to everyone, don't hesitate.

I have a 12-year-old dog, and I've been leaving her at Mascohotel whenever I travel since she was a puppy. Gucci loves it, and they always return her to me with her fur nicely groomed and happy. Of course, I recommend this boarding facility; back in the day, I visited several, and this was the only one that convinced me.

Honestly, a 10/10. We have 2 giant schnauzer puppies and every time we have to travel, whether for leisure or work, we trust this boarding facility. It's the best we've found, because before we met Ángeles and Luis, our little ones stayed at another place that I prefer not to remember and even less to name, where, besides being neglected, they came back very scared and in very poor condition. Here, however, they are very well taken care of, and in fact, whenever we go to pick them up, they don't want to leave because they are having such a great time and are so comfortable. The care given to our little ones and the way they treat us is impeccable. Thank you so much! We are delighted.

Our experience was not good; I felt like our puppy was claustrophobic there, very little space. Considering it was the first time we had left him at a boarding facility, my wife had questions to ask the owner. They gave us very little information during the days the little guy was there, and with dirty looks and rude answers when we asked. Not satisfied at all with the way we were treated.

I left him over the November bank holiday weekend, and they wouldn't let me pick up my dog on Sunday on my way from Bilbao to Madrid at whatever time I wanted. I either had to go before 1:30 PM or wait until 5:30 PM. They basically ruined my Sunday plans. Another thing I didn't like: they quoted me one price when I dropped him off (3 nights) and another when I picked him up (4 nights). Other than that, it's what you would expect from a dog hotel. The best part was the dog grooming/cleaning service (€30).

They did not take good care of my dog. They were supposed to administer eye drops twice a day for a dry eye issue, and when they brought him back to my house, the dog couldn't see, his eyes were full of discharge. Now we are trying to help him recover, but thanks to their deplorable care, he has lost a significant amount of vision.

Incredible. I think this is the only place where I would leave my dogs. One of them is very timid, and every time we drop him off, we are pleasantly surprised by how happily he approaches any of the staff working there. Our other dog also gets super happy as soon as we arrive at the hotel to drop her off. And when we pick them up and get home, you can tell the dogs had a great time. A 10/10 in everything: facilities, professionalism, dog care, communication with us... And it's very important for us to know they are in a place that has all the permits and controls required by the Community of Madrid. Congratulations to the people who run this place.

We went to see the facilities to learn about the routines they followed with the cats, but we ultimately canceled the reservation. It is heartbreaking to see how the cats are kept in tiny cages for 24 hours straight, as they are only allowed out to play for 20 minutes a day. It doesn't give me the impression that they know or care about what is good for our pets there. I have read some positive reviews about the dogs, but cats certainly cannot be kept like that.

This December I had to travel for family reasons. It was the first time I had ever left my little "Lucas". From the very first moment I contacted them, the service was unbeatable (even though I called a thousand times out of stress over leaving him). I was able to visit the facilities on the day that suited me best, and whenever I needed to know how Lucas was doing, I sent a WhatsApp message and they replied quickly. The best part was when Lucas came home. He was so happy and cheerful. They took great care of him; he even wanted to go back with them! Lucas will definitely return to Mascohotel, with the peace of mind that he is in good hands.

Also, you can request that they return them clean, and they offer a pick-up and drop-off service. The place is great and the spaces where the dogs sleep are real rooms. Quite simply the best place to leave your pet and have the peace of mind that the best professionals are looking out for your little one. For the last 5 years we have left our dog Tuco with them for Christmas and during the summer; they have always picked him up, and the dog gets into the van by himself, greeting Luis or whoever comes to collect him because he knows they are good people. Naturally, it's not the same for him as being with us, but he returns in one piece, in high spirits, and at least at the same weight he had when he went in... This place saved my dog's life when he suffered gastric torsion, an emergency where you only have a couple of hours to react or else he would die. They rushed him in for emergency surgery and looked after him until we got back. It was incredible; I don't have and will never have enough words to express my gratitude. Tuco is no longer with us, but with the next dog I have, if I ever need to leave him somewhere to be looked after, I have no doubt that this will be his home. Thank you so much for everything.

Personally, I love this dog boarding facility, but my pet, Buba, loves it even more. I feel completely at peace whenever I've had to leave her there while traveling, and I recommend it whenever I can. It's a clean, modern place in a lovely setting. It's clear that being one of the best in your field comes at a price, and that price is having to put up with reviews like the previous ones that tell outright lies about this facility. How could what they say be true when the place is so successful? How does that make sense? Those reviews just try to confuse people; they must have some ulterior motive. What's more, I've seen them several times on TV; it is clear they have earned their reputation thanks to their hard work and the love with which they treat the animals. In my personal opinion, they are a role model, but I encourage anyone with doubts to simply check it out for themselves. Best regards.
