Kalma is doggy PARADISE, everything is by them and for them. 🐾💛🌳💦 Caramelo and Azabache have been enjoying their summer vacations there for YEARS, along with the occasional getaway throughout the year. The love, care, and passion that every single member of the KALMA team puts in so that they have a blast, enjoy themselves, and feel right at home is PRICELESS!! All of this truly shows and comes through the screen when you receive videos and photos where you see them being the happiest dogs, enjoying their freedom, and socializing to the fullest. We will never tire of THANKING all of you for taking care of the most precious thing we have 🐕🐺💛, although without a doubt the best review is given by them: whenever we arrive there for their vacation days, they never look back and are so happy to see you. There's no time to waste when it comes to fun!!

It is a wonderful place to leave your dog if you need to. I have taken Tom on several occasions, and whenever we arrive at the facilities, he gets super happy. The staff treats him with incredible affection, and they are happy there while you can leave with peace of mind knowing he is in the best hands. We definitely keep coming back because the care is excellent, and the love they give them is clearly visible from a mile away.

Every time we take Lía there she comes back happy, and I'm not surprised—the whole team is wonderful, from Carolina to Lorena and the colleagues who are with the dogs, taking care of them and giving them so much love!! A wonderful place to leave your dog in good hands, both for daycare and for overnight stays. The staff are lovely, and you can tell they truly love animals and what they do... Carol, Lorena, Tamara, Oscar... very happy with all of them and with the place, which is fantastic. Also, if the dogs are sociable, they group them together on walks so they can have fun.

Kalma is the best place to leave your furry friend in good hands whenever you need to. Just as their name suggests, we feel calm whenever we leave our Ona with them; she adores them, feels right at home, and it helps reinforce her socialization, which is great for her, always at her own pace without overwhelming her. We couldn't be happier with you all ❤️

It is a good place only if your dog fits their mold; they don't adapt if there is any difficulty... I had been bringing my dog since they opened, I took a chance on them because I know they are animal lovers, but my dog needs somewhat special care because she gets stressed and needs calm companions... When they didn't have many clients it didn't matter, but once they started having more, they don't want her... I had been requesting a reservation for my dog since August, and in November they tell me there is no spot... They didn't want to find a spot for her and haven't managed to get to know her... It's their business and they can deny me a spot, of course, but for me it has been a huge disappointment... Naturally, by that point, I was left with no time to find another place for her... They treat animals well, but in my case, after 3 or 4 years with them, they weren't able to bond with or truly understand my dog.

Another highlight is that if you have any questions during the stay, you can text them and they reply quickly. It is also worth highlighting the protocol followed when dropping him off and picking him up, prioritizing above all the safety of those who are there (access doors, doorbell, etc., etc.). Thank you for taking such good care of our great little earthquake.

Quite disappointed with our experience at Kalma... The place is spectacular, I love the facilities and the concept they have, etc... I have no complaints about that. On Tuesday, I dropped Kobu off because I was traveling until yesterday, Friday, and we also wanted to see how he would do at a dog boarding facility since Kobu had NEVER been separated from me or my parents (a key point to keep in mind for what I'm about to explain). I dropped the dog off on Tuesday around 11:00 AM; that same day at 7:00 PM, I was sent videos of the dog playing with another female dog and with the caretakers, but no details or information were provided. I sent a voice note asking how he was doing, etc., and got no reply (it is true they told me later they thought they had sent the message but forgot to hit send). On Wednesday, they called me at 12:00 PM saying the dog had a lot of anxiety; that he was physically fine but had anxiety, that he barked while in the room, and that he tried to escape while in the yard, so they were going to see how the day went and, if not, they thought it would be best for us to pick him up. Just 1 hour later (when they were supposed to monitor him for the rest of the day), we spoke again and my father had to go pick him up. On the one hand, I understand they said picking him up was for his own good, since they saw he was okay but anxious, but on the other hand, they didn't give the dog any time to adjust. As they were told when he was picked up, in the end it's like a child at school: each one needs their own time to adapt, and I don't think they took much into account that this was Kobu's first time in a place like this... On the other hand, what I didn't like was that during the tour I was told the dog would be alone in his room, but when I spoke to them to book these days—to ensure everything would be fine for summer—they told me that in the summer he would have to share a room... They charge the same rate and the dogs have to share a room with another dog they aren't used to living with just because they are at full capacity? ...🙄 I don't know... You should specify that during the visit, because you don't mention it.

They were punctual and super friendly with our little dog, who wasn't used to this kind of pickup. Once there, they posted videos on social media and kept us updated privately. They have plenty of space for them to enjoy. We could see he was happy and it was clear he was having a great time. To mention something else we really liked, they sleep in individual spaces. Furthermore, the best indicator that it was a great experience is that when he got out of the transport to come back home, he was very cheerful. Thank you to everyone.

I am not a client, so I won't dispute that they might care for the dogs well, but they don't treat customers well. I've been messaging them on WhatsApp for over a week to find out about availability, and they take days to reply. I've been in touch since last week; this Monday they kindly called to ask me details and told me they would let me know about availability. Today, Friday, they call me telling me to come by at 3:00 PM. I can't make it and tell them I understand they are very busy, to which they reply yes, they are, and that they are fully booked. Geez, then why ask me to come in today at 3:00 PM on such short notice, in nearly 40-degree heat? Just to waste our time? On top of all this, a whole week was wasted trying to find boarding for my dog. Speechless... I hope they are more professional, diligent, and organized with the animals. In response to your reply: if you have no availability, is it normal to make me come at 3:00 PM on a 35-degree day? For what? Should I paste the WhatsApp chat here so everyone can see who kept insisting and who wasn't replying?

We decided to take our dog to Kalma because it was recommended to us and because their "pack" and "cage-free" concept fits very well with the way we understand our dog. Both the facilities and the staff seemed very nice. However, I think they have a problem with foxtails/grass awns; the field is full of them, and even though they were mowing the day we arrived, it was not enough to prevent our dog from coming back with his paws full of foxtails and infected. When we picked him up he came out limping, and they told us he hadn't limped until that moment... but when we got home and untangled the knot between his toes that formed from him licking to try to remove something, we found embedded foxtails in his paw that we had to pull out, along with a hole caused by the awn and blood... The dog came back exhausted, which is normal when going to a new place and especially in the countryside, but he was also devastated with his infected paws. We went to the vet the next day: (1) 10 days of oral treatment, (2) 10 days of doing treatments morning and night, washing his paws and applying ointment. After a week, the paw he was limping on still hadn't healed, so we went back to our vet because he thought there was still an awn, and indeed yesterday we managed to get it out. It has been agonizing to leave my dog for two days—a dog that is exceptionally well cared for, healthy, who goes to the countryside with us and has never had this happen to his paws—and pick him up after two nights like a sack of potatoes. I have to say they kept texting me, asking about Pato, but at no point did they take responsibility; they only said that "he has long hair and it's complicated to spot awns in coats like that" and that "they had removed everything they saw." The reality is that once we told them he was a bit better, they stopped texting. It's true that a long-haired dog is more complicated and needs checking, but I think that if they couldn't take on that responsibility with my dog, they should have told me so I could look for another option, because it wasn't worth it at all, neither for me nor my dog, especially when we told them that Pato goes out with an ear protector precisely because he is a magnet for foxtails... In total we paid a €70 stay + €100 for vet and treatment + €48 for follow-ups. A total of €218 for leaving him one weekend. Not to mention the emotional toll of seeing your dog in bad shape. I think if you run a place for dogs, you cannot have it full of one of their biggest enemies: FOXTAILS. But if you do, I think you must make sure the dogs come out free of them after every walk. I don't know what it's like for other types of dogs, but in my opinion, if you have long-haired dogs or dogs prone to catching foxtails, this is not the place for you.

A 10/10 for the boarding facility, for the amenities, but above all for the team. It is the first time my furry one has slept away from home and it was a completely positive experience for him and brought total peace of mind for me. My little dog is very fearful and distrustful, but from the very first moment, something clicked, and he immediately started giving kisses to everyone who works there. You can really tell the love they put into what they do. Thank you, team, see you very soon. Raquel and Tuc

I give it 5 stars, but I would give it more. It's a whole different concept of dog boarding—it's a dog resort. It has extraordinary facilities, cleanliness, real rooms for them (not kennels), and everything is very well-managed, including their food and medication. The team is incredible... I couldn't imagine leaving my dog Thor anywhere else; he's simply happy there, and we have total peace of mind leaving him. It's a 10 out of 10 place.

I have called hundreds of times to board my two dogs in November and December, but they must not be interested since they never pick up.

I had been looking for a boarding facility that gave me enough confidence to leave Nalore and Kami for a long time. I have finally found it. They have already stayed at Kalma several times, and that is why I can comfortably recommend this place, because the experience has been wonderful. Thanks to all the professionals at Kalma for their work, for the warm welcome they gave the pups, and for their affectionate care. Nalore and Kami want to go back, and that is proof of how well they were treated.

We left Eko at Kalma for ten days and everything, from start to finish, was wonderful. We've had experiences at other boarding facilities in the area, but this is the best one for many reasons: - They pay attention to each dog's needs when forming groups; in our case, since he is a Labrador, he was paired up with other retrievers and had their company throughout the stay. - They have incredible facilities—if you don't know them, you have to go see them—different play areas with pools, and an open field area for running, sniffing, and just being a dog that I haven't found anywhere else. - They accept BARF (raw diets), which many kennels don't allow, so we were able to leave his frozen pre-portioned bags. - They keep you updated about your dog, both via WhatsApp with videos and photos, and through Instagram stories; this is greatly appreciated and gives you real peace of mind when you are far from your dog. Communication is seamless; they always reply. - They have several outings a day, so they get plenty of exercise. - And of course, the team at Kalma, all of them are great; you can tell they love their job. We will definitely be back.

For us, it was very important that our big boy would be well cared for wherever we left him, and the truth is, we found the right place! It was the first time we had left him away from home and we were a bit nervous, but they are lovely and you can tell they adore animals! Jax came back as if nothing had happened! If they need to treat wounds or give him medication, etc., they do it without any problem; you can ask them how everything is going and, although they might take a little while to reply due to their workload, they do respond and even send a few photos and videos. It's a pleasure to find places like this! Without a doubt, we now know where to leave our little guy whenever we need to. It has been a pleasure!

Our furry friend spent a week at Kalma. We had already tried their training courses and seen the professionalism and dedication of the whole team, but after these 7 days we can confirm that Isco has found another WONDERFUL FAMILY who cares for him, teaches him, and gives him infinite love. Isco is fearful around other dogs, and they managed to get him to socialize and even sleep with another Maltese dog, incredible... We can only THANK you for being the way you are ❤️ we assure you that Isco will spend more wonderful moments by your side.

I can't give much of an opinion yet, as I haven't taken my pets there yet. They will pick them up on August 1st. But I have met the caretakers and they are lovely. As for the place, it's a property with a lot of land. And the furry ones' rooms have access to a small garden. I think they look good. Obviously, they will be a little scared since I have never left them anywhere before. I just hope they are well cared for and treated with affection.

I left my little girl this year since we couldn't take her with us, and honestly, I was very satisfied. Not only because of the professionalism of the staff working at the kennel and the love they put into their work, but also because I saw posts of my dog on Instagram the entire time and had direct contact with Carolina, the manager. The facilities are super cool, the care they provide to the dogs is evident, and above all, their insight into how to group the dogs together so they have a better time. I recommend this kennel 100%, and on our next vacation, I'm sure Frida will be delighted to return.

Hello. I don't usually write reviews, especially negative ones, on Google, but I think on this occasion it is necessary so that no one else gets the same surprise we did if they book with this boarding facility. Two days before going on vacation in August, having had confirmation of the dates since May (three months in advance), and only because we contacted them to confirm what time we should drop our dog off on Monday morning (if I had just brought her that day, what a mess I would have walked into), they told me I had booked a different date, a week later. I tried calling repeatedly, without success. I have proof of having made the reservation, along with the facility's confirmation for the requested dates; I forwarded it to them, and they told me—without returning a single call—that the booking had been written down incorrectly "due to a misunderstanding," so there was no space for our dates and they couldn't offer a solution at their facility. They very politely told me that the only thing they could offer was the name of another facility they trusted (which, of course, like the rest of the boarding places in Madrid in August during peak season, with only two days' notice, also had no availability) and that they were sorry for the "misunderstanding," without taking responsibility or offering valid solutions for where to leave my dog, knowing that she has emotional management difficulties and cannot stay just anywhere or with anyone. They left us stranded and with no options at the last minute, and that was only because it occurred to us to ask; if I had just shown up on Monday with our bags in the car, who knows what we would have done... I hope this review helps ensure this situation doesn't happen again and improves booking management and service quality, because in our case, it was shameful, and apologies didn't save us from the anxiety attack or rescue our vacation. Regards. EDIT: They called me to rectify the mistake, and finally, it seems they managed to make room for our little one so she can stay on the agreed dates. We hope there won't be any further issues. Thank you.

My boys stayed there for summer camp and I couldn't be more grateful... I had never left them anywhere other than a family member's house, so I was very nervous and apprehensive since my Romeo is 15 years old and has a few health issues, but they managed to give me peace of mind so I could enjoy my vacation. They sent us photos, answered all my messages, and we followed them on social media. When I went to pick them up, they were happy to see me, but as we were leaving, one of my dogs ran right back to them. I have to say that two other dog boarding facilities didn't accept Moon because of his little toy issues. Thank you so much to the whole team!

Fantastic canine "resort" for our little girl. The facilities are great, clean, and well-maintained. Furthermore, they are constantly taking care of them, carrying out minor renovations and necessary maintenance so the furry ones are in the best possible conditions. As for the staff... unbeatable. All the employees treat the animals exquisitely; their professionalism, training, and love for them are truly evident. Our little dog doesn't like being away from the family, but in this case, we saw her arrive and leave happy, playful, and cheerful... she even wanted to go back inside to keep playing in the pool with her "buddies". Plus, she was super friendly with everyone at the facility. Without a doubt, it is a trustworthy place for "the family".

With so little morality, you treat an animal shelter that kept its dogs there, paying religiously without any kind of discount or benefit, and just like that they get thrown out on the street, with nowhere to put them, without warning, and without giving any explanations. You cannot run a boarding facility if you do not love animals, all of them without exception. I hope no poor animal ever falls into your hands, given how little ethics and morality you have... You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves... You run a kennel as if you were running just any bar... Not recommended at all, without a doubt.

I am shocked that a business dedicated to animal care has zero empathy precisely for them. For those who don't know, a shelter had their dogs there and paid religiously until finding them a home, and they have thrown them out onto the street. Don't you feel any remorse or at least pity kicking them out without giving any explanation, with how cold it is and just days before Christmas? They don't have a home! What a shame that "people" like this do this for a living, you don't deserve to work with animals. I imagine these are dates when you make a lot of money and need more space, what a disgrace.

They blocked me simply for politely asking what happened to some dogs that had been at their boarding facility for two years, referred by a shelter, and were thrown out onto the street overnight. Zero empathy. (Supposedly, if you have a valid reason, it costs nothing to answer). If you were planning this for whatever reason, you should give advance notice and do things properly so the shelter can find another facility and those animals don't end up on the street. Supposedly, you "love animals," but throwing them out onto the street literally overnight proves you don't care about them at all. I definitely wouldn't bring my pets there if that's how you treat your guests.

A friend recommended that I bring my little dog to this place. After seeing the facilities on the website and reading user reviews, I didn't hesitate. It is the best place to leave your small pet in good hands in the Madrid area. A great team, and Almudena is a wonderful person.

Kalma has been Thor's boarding facility since he was a puppy and we couldn't be happier! They have thought of everything so that the dogs enjoy themselves and are well cared for during their holidays, because taking Thor there is a true vacation for him, he has a great time! The entire team at Kalma is super friendly and treats the dogs amazingly well (a 10 out of 10); you leave with complete peace of mind leaving him there.

We left our dogs and they were treated wonderfully. We had a slight issue reaching them by phone, but the service was great, with videos of them running and playing happily and seeing how much time they dedicated to them since it was their first time. It was a pleasure dealing with everyone who works there, we'll see you in August! 😊

For the first time in my life, I had to use a dog boarding facility. Like everyone with a dog, we want to know 100% that they will be fine—95% isn't enough. I had been following them on social media for a while, seeing the work they do, and they gave me the confidence I needed. As soon as I called them, they invited me for an introductory visit: to bring my dog, meet them, and see their working method and facilities, and I left thrilled. You can truly see the love they have for animals. The facilities they have are magnificent, and when I picked up my dog today, he was very happy, so I have no complaints whatsoever. They send you videos of how they are doing at the boarding facility so you stay informed, and they address any questions without issues, so you can't ask for more. The dog is in good hands with them, and the price matches the quality; it is definitely worth it.
