El gos blanc is a very welcoming place; from the moment you walk in, you feel at ease. It is a large space where the dogs are very well cared for and calm. The facilities are very spacious, with plenty of room for the dogs to go outside to play or relax outside their enclosures. The staff is very warm and approachable. It is a place where you truly see and feel that dogs come first. A few weeks ago, we adopted a very pretty and playful little dog. We are very happy with this place; if we ever want another pet in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to return to El gos blanc.

A great boarding facility for doggies. Located on the north face of Montserrat, its spaces are very spacious, both the individual areas—with indoor and outdoor sections—and the common areas. On top of that, the caretakers are especially professional and completely understand what it means to leave your dog in their care. Highly recommended.

Many years ago I left my friend 😸 (may he rest in peace) for 1 week and I was delighted, and they were too with my boy, since in the morning they opened his crate/kennel and he spent the day in the office with them. I'm Javi Contreras's cousin, family of the owner, and my dog was the English Staffordshire named "PISTOLA", the noblest and kindest I have ever seen... Greetings, and totally recommended for all those who truly care about their furry friends and need a place to leave them with peace of mind knowing your pet will be comfortable, safe, and cared for with love and respect. Clear, professional and highly ethical breeder. You can really tell they care about their dogs. I also didn't have any communication problem because of my bad Spanish, some of the staff speaks English which was very helpful, but also somehow we managed to communicate with the ones who only speak Spanish. We adopted an amazing healthy golden retriever puppy (born in November 2025), well socialized and exactly as described. Communication was straightforward and transparent throughout the process. Pesto arrived home in great condition, (we brought him by ourselves in our car since we're in bcn city). Other than small potty accidents in the house (since he can't leave before taking the 3rd vaccine), everything else was perfect, we expected a harder situation with our 2 cats but surprisingly they are co-existing peacefully (hopefully in few months they will be best friends 🤞). I totally recommend El gos blanc for anyone looking for a Labrador/Golden in Barcelona.

We were looking for a Labrador puppy and finding el Gos Blanc has been the best thing that could have happened to us. From the very first moment the experience was flawless; we were able to meet our puppy's mom and dad and see firsthand that all the litters are extremely well cared for and pampered. You can tell they are genuine animal lovers. We bought our Labrador Dana in July, and they gave her to us microchipped, vaccinated, and with the parents' dysplasia-free certificates. Everything was completely legal and transparent. In addition, Eva and Paula are lovely and very warm; once we were home, they constantly checked in to see how Dana was doing and whether she was adapting well to her new home. We have a child with ASD and seeing how he interacts with Dana is simply wonderful. The connection they have built from the beginning is priceless. If you are looking for a Labrador and don't know where to go, have no doubt, this is the perfect place. Thank you for everything, girls 🩷 LAURA.

My experience with this breeder is disappointing and outrageous. Please do not buy without reading the negative reviews first. From the beginning, they show a friendly attitude. However, this quickly falls apart once the slightest inconvenience arises. I do not recommend this breeder under any circumstances. They fail to comply with animal sales laws, evade taxes by attempting to sell without an invoice or VAT, wash their hands when problems arise, and treat animals as mere merchandise. Furthermore, if you do not accept their protocol—arbitrary and without legal backing—they do not hesitate to switch from being friendly to aggressive attitudes, trying to intimidate the buyer. Our puppy began showing symptoms of discomfort due to itching shortly after arriving home. Upon examining him thoroughly, we discovered a lump on his tail. The most alarming thing was that he showed no pain when it was touched, but the tip of the tail bent, which was obviously not normal. We filed a complaint with all rightful indignation, and their response was to completely deny that the puppy could have any issue. They even went so far as to insinuate that the dog had hurt himself at our home, when he had only been with us for barely a week. The only “alternatives” they offered us were to return the puppy, as if he were a defective object, or exchange him for another, completely ignoring the bond that had already developed with our family. To them, the dog was simply another product, not a living being with emotions or needs. After reading numerous negative reviews with experiences very similar to ours, we decided not to take the puppy to the breeder's vet, as we had zero trust in them. Our intuition—and other buyers' experiences—told us they would give us a misdiagnosis just to wash their hands of the matter. And indeed, according to multiple testimonials, that seems to be their strategy: pretend they care about the puppy's well-being, talk to you about a “guarantee” that practically doesn't exist, and downplay any health issues the animal might show from day one. They verbally promise a series of conditions they do not fulfill: they mention an initial deworming—which in our case we ended up doing at home—a pedigree certificate, a dysplasia-free certificate, and a puppy in good health. Our puppy was not in good health. There is no consideration for the buyer nor any accountability for problems. They are only interested in selling puppies at exorbitant prices. They themselves told us they had 4-month-old dogs at a lower cost, yet they sold us one for €2,000, with an obvious tail fracture, itching, parasites, and no invoice. Now we find ourselves having to care for the puppy according to all his ailments, which is not something you expect upon purchase. And what is most frustrating is that, to this day, the dog continues to have health issues requiring constant veterinary care. We know that complications may arise over time and that it is part of our responsibility as owners. But it is unacceptable to receive a puppy that already has obvious problems straight from the breeder. Even so, we decided to keep him, because we were never going to reject him, much less return him to a place where, given his tail condition and health issues, he probably wouldn't find a home anytime soon. This is not an object you exchange or return: it is a living being that deserves love, respect, and care—something this breeder clearly does not understand. Buying a puppy is an act of love and responsibility, not an unscrupulous transaction. Sadly, this place does not live up to what responsible pet ownership or respect for consumer rights truly mean.

Pay close attention to the reviews and experiences shared by people, and check out several breeders before getting a dog. Unfortunately, I had the chance to meet a Golden Retriever that was purchased from this breeder; the dog suffers from fear, phobias, and anxiety, and this condition will last a lifetime because it is due to a genetic factor (evaluated by canine behavior professionals). A serious breeder of any breed will always, always remove a dog with fears from their breeding program. You have some nerve saying it's the fault of the person who buys it; you don't have a shred of decency, and you couldn't care less about the temperament of the parents. Regrettable, truly regrettable....

I got Sky, who was born in September 2017. Right when I took him, the breeder told me that "due to travel stress and changes, he might have bloody stools at home." Sure enough, as soon as we got home he started pooping blood, but it was because he was infested with giardia. Around a year and a half he started having lots of fears, and at two and a half he was diagnosed with cataracts in BOTH eyes, logically of hereditary/congenital origin. I sent the vet report and he didn't deign to reply until the third email. He called me on the phone dropping gems like "I haven't read the report because, just like your dog, I don't see well either" or "Do you want the 1,200 euros? Bring me the dog and I'll give it to you." My dog is the son of Max and Laika, whom they breed practically every heat cycle (I know of siblings born 7 months before Sky), and shortly after getting Sky we saw her up for adoption on their website. The certificate stating that mother Laika is dysplasia-free was issued before Laika was even born (how do you issue a certificate for an unborn dog?). So it wouldn't surprise me if Sky develops dysplasia in the future too. On top of that, he has the nerve to claim he doesn't issue an invoice because we bargained over the VAT... when it's clearly to avoid future problems.

It has been a year since our dog is no longer with the family, and now that time has made it less painful to talk about, we want to share our experience with El Gos Blanc. In March 2018, we got a Golden puppy, daughter of Kiara and Max. Within the first two days of having her home, we had to rush her to the emergency vet with parvovirus symptoms; they tested her and she came back positive. We had to go through more than 3 weeks of treatment, with the risk of losing the puppy. In this regard, Albert referred us to his trusted vet in Abrera. His vet told us that the dog did not have parvovirus without running any diagnostic tests. The dog always showed behavioral problems towards people; she got along great with other dogs and socialized very well, but she was very distrustful and fearful around humans. She wouldn't let herself be handled, and despite taking her to Kanstak to help her overcome this situation, the problem was never 100% resolved because it was genetic. She expressed her fear as aggression toward people, including her own family. At Kanstak, very experienced dog trainers told us that her behavior stemmed from genetics, as it was not normal for a puppy under 4 months old to behave that way. In fact, the mother, Kiara, had already displayed that fearful and resource-guarding behavior when we visited the facility. However, at the time, we were not aware of what that behavior meant. In September 2019, she began limping on one of her hind legs. After several diagnostic tests, she was diagnosed with bilateral dysplasia (she wasn't even 2 years old yet), and upon reviewing the parents' certificates (Kiara and Max), we saw that they were not cleared of dysplasia. Don't be fooled by those documents; they aren't always dysplasia-free certificates, but rather reports where you will see the actual information if you read them carefully. On top of the dysplasia, 4 months later she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the femur of one of her hind legs at the Ars Veterinary Hospital in Barcelona, with lung metastasis, which led to the worst possible outcome. We were only able to share 2 years of her life, and we went through a truly painful experience from the very start. We hope this helps so that no one else has to go through the same thing. Best regards.

Today Hera turns one year old. A Golden Retriever we got at two months old from El Gos Blanc. Hera has a very friendly temperament, is very playful, and socializes very well with all dogs. She is a sweetheart. This summer we boarded her for 11 days at the kennel; it was the first time we had left her, and I must say everything went very well. The care and attention received were unbeatable, and Hera had a wonderful time. Thank you so much for everything, Eva.

3 months ago I got a chocolate Labrador, now he is 6 months old. He is a sociable and well-balanced dog, he is wonderful. I am very happy, though you do have to dedicate time to them from when they are very small. You have to invest time. If not, don't get a dog; they need time. All the time you invest, in the long run it's a pleasure to see him like this.

Today is a special day: Bruc was born at el Gos Blanc a year ago today, and I decided to leave a review, I couldn't hold back any longer, he is a spectacular dog. He is a very noble dog, every day he shows us his style, it's a gift going for walks with him. At el Gos Blanc, Albert and Eva pampered him for a few months; a breeder with exceptional dogs that also serves as a boarding kennel, we left him there for 15 days in the summer and were thrilled. One more of the family, thank you very much.

We have had other dogs before, some from pet shops, others from private breeders, but this is the first time we've gone to a professional breeder; the result couldn't have been more satisfying! Ever since Gus arrived home, we've seen that he was a clean slate of a puppy—fearless, without bad habits, and without any learned behaviors other than what his mother taught him. A happy puppy eager to learn. The kids and we are thrilled! And we hope Gus grows up happy and keeps bringing us joy just like he has so far! Thank you to the entire team for the magnificent work. P.S.: On top of that, the dog is absolutely gorgeous!

I can say that they truly care about the dogs' well-being. This is the second Golden we have gotten from them; the first one was 17 years ago and she was wonderful, and now another female who is already 7 months old. The treatment is very good and the communication is perfect. As for the dogs, they are very well cared for and are wonderful. If we have come back after so many years, there must be a good reason. Thank you.

Disastrous experience! Even though I have my golden retriever Nala, who was born on 10/03/14, daughter of Laika, and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world! With her flaws, she is an incredible dog whom we adore and love madly! Nala has an awful fear; she cannot walk normally on the street. Since she was very little, she has been medicated for anxiety, and with the help of a wonderful trainer, she has managed to take short walks in areas she feels are safe! Besides having trouble socializing with dogs (especially puppies), she needs her space and not to feel overwhelmed, but she has never attacked or bitten anyone! Ever since she was a puppy, we contacted the breeder to take responsibility for the problem—to cover the cost of training sessions, medication, or whatever was necessary, or at least advise us, since we couldn't even take her out for a walk! We were lost... Their response: if you prove it's genetic, we'll swap the dog for another one! Obviously, the answer was no! And since then, we haven't heard from them again! My dog is neither a toy nor an article of clothing; she didn't come with a return receipt! I have been reading about many problematic cases and decided to share our experience in case it helps someone! With a flaw or two and all her virtues, Nala is the best thing that has happened to us in recent years, and we adore her; that doesn't take away from the suffering caused (for us, and especially for her) by her issue, which is due to both genetic fear and poor socialization! REPLY: Hello! It is obvious that at two months old, a puppy's temperament is still developing, which is why genetics and what they have experienced with their litter up to that point are so important. How do you also explain that my dog had her ear bitten by her sister, another golden retriever who was only two months old and had an extraordinary temperament? And that you mentioned Laika herself had behavioral issues? Since I see that six years have passed and you don't remember, let me refresh your memory: it was your own trainer who told us (in front of you) that my dog's fears were genetic, and we provided a report from a private behaviorist (you didn't cover any of the costs) that confirmed the exact same thing. I have read too many negative reviews of this kennel here on Google, and I don't think they are a coincidence.

Very warm and attentive service from Eva, and very professional from Albert. I got a chocolate male Labrador in January, a son of Zowy. We are thrilled with the lineage and, above all, the temperament. By now, many people from Maresme have already asked me for El Gos Blanc's contact details because they want a puppy from their line; even where we take him for training, they asked for their contact info after seeing pictures of our "Magic" on Instagram.

I purchased a Golden Retriever puppy, daughter of Laika. On the day of pickup, they noticed she had a malformed front leg, but they told us it wouldn't cause problems in the future, or offered to exchange her for another one (I wasn't going to leave the puppy behind after already growing fond of her, and even less so because of that issue). They also offered to cut her price in half. After this, at 6 months old, she developed severe dysplasia. We informed them, they asked for the X-ray to verify it, apologized, and, acting surprised, said it had to be from her mother Laika (dysplasia is genetic). The most shocking part was seeing on their website months later that her mother Laika was expecting another litter for sale... I do not recommend them at all! You cannot continue breeding a dog that can cause such a serious condition just to make a profit by selling dogs that could become severely ill and are completely blameless!

Besides that, the smell coming off them was horrible, to say the least... I doubt how many times a day they are cleaned or walked. Compared to another facility where I took them and left them for 1 whole WEEK, the dogs had their normal smell and weren't hoarse at all.
