It is striking that a five-year-old review was edited just 36 minutes ago, now emphasizing a "safe environment," right after a negative review was posted reporting the death of a dog in their care.

On November 5th, we took our three Chihuahuas to the boarding facility they had been going to for a year and a half. On November 7th, the afternoon they were supposed to come home, we received a call telling us they were at the Montjuïc Veterinary Hospital, on México Street. A two-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier attacked our dog inside the daycare. Lucy weighed just over 3 kilos. They called to inform us that she had been rushed to the veterinary clinic, but that they had been unable to do anything to save her. She died from the injuries sustained during the attack. Lucy was an absolute sweetheart: affectionate, innocent, and harmless. Today she would have turned five years old…

We have left Alekai with them several times now and we are thrilled! Our dog is happy when we drop him off, he feels right at home, surrounded by other dogs and love all day long. No cages, just lots of sofas and beds that allow total freedom. A 5/5 place. They even gave Alekai a birthday present too!!! Marie and her team are wonderful people, and they also send you videos and photos daily.

We were worried about where to leave Koko and Blue, as we had a trip where they couldn't accompany us. Finding Barcelona dog care was a huge relief for us. Marie took wonderful care of us, clearing up all our doubts and explaining how the facility works. Talking to her and seeing how she treats and cares for the fur babies let us know how well-cared-for our dogs would be. And so it was: they were looked after 24 hours a day, socialized with many furry friends, and left happy. Marie and her team are great professionals!!! We left our little dog Taca for a week, a 7-month-old Dachshund puppy. She is very wary of strangers, wouldn't let anyone touch her other than us, and is even mistrustful around our families. Given Taca's temperament, we left feeling a bit worried, especially since she is very attached to us and, let's admit it, we are to her too. But Marie was an absolute sweetheart with Taca and with us as well. Every day she sent us photos and videos of Taca. To our surprise, they were photos of her napping with them, even giving them kisses (which was unthinkable given her personality) and playing with the new friends she made at the daycare. When we went to pick her up, she didn't want to leave because she was so happy with them. In addition, Marie gave us great advice on how to work on Taca's behavioral issues. After her stay with them, she is a more balanced dog with fewer fears. Without a doubt, it has become our trusted place to leave Taca. Thank you so much for the way you treated us and for taking such good care of her!

We left our puppy for two weeks and he was better than at home. We were a little scared at first because it was the first time we were separating from him, but it was the best decision because he couldn't have been in a better place. He learned a lot of things, made friends, and Marie and her colleagues took super good care of him. In addition, there is daily contact with them through photos and videos, and she always resolves any doubts; on top of that, she advised us on everything we had questions about to better train our little one. Without a doubt, highly recommended and obviously Sky will be back to stay with them whenever we need it. Marie's warmth and kindness were very important, thank youuu!! 🐕🧡

I have known Marie since she started, and I can only thank her for her dedication and value her professionalism. I have a little dog named Zoe, whom we adopted when she was 1 year old and who had a traumatic puppyhood, making it very hard to gain her trust since she is terrified of people. Marie earned her trust in such a short time that I couldn't believe it. Furthermore, thanks to her, Zoe has overcome some of her fears because Marie adapts to her needs without forcing their relationship at all; this way, she feels safe at the daycare, has her own space, and participates as much or as little as she feels like. She enjoys walks in the mountains, far from the civilization that treated her so poorly. I feel very calm and fortunate to be able to leave her at Dog Care whenever we can't take care of her. Marie conveys so much love and passion for animals that you can feel it from the moment you meet her, and pets are the first to sense it—that's why they love her so much 🥰 And we do too ❤

Barcelona Dog care, just as the name says, truly "cares" for our pet. I met María José through a contact, and whenever our Lola stays with her, she is super happy. How do they differ from other daycares/kennels? Our furry friends go for walks in great areas! Lots of wooded and green areas, and whenever possible, there's also the beach to have a blast. Besides, M. José knows a lot about dogs, which helps you enjoy your time away because you know your pet will be cared for just like at home... or even better! ;) Thank you, great job.
